Diabetic cat benefits from Microchip Pet Feeder

One of Michelle’s three cats is fed a prescription diet to manage his feline diabetes. We caught up with her to find out how her SureFeed Microchip Pet Feeders are helping to stop him from eating her other cats’ food.

Michelle, can you tell us your cats’ names?

Tiko, Luna and Figg.

How old are your cats?

11 years old, 4 years old and 2 years old.

What type of food do you feed your cats?

Tiko eats prescription food (soft and kibble) as he is a diabetic and the girls eat an all-natural chicken and rice formula kibble.

Do your cats have any particular feeding habits?

Because of Tiko's diabetes, all the furries are on a twice daily feeding schedule.

Why did you purchase a SureFeed Microchip Pet Feeder?

I purchased the feeders, again because of Tiko. The girls don't always finish all their food and he isn't supposed to stray from his specific diet, so the feeders keep him out of their food.

How well did your cat(s) take to the Microchip Pet Feeder?

It took a little getting used to, training three cats at once, but within a couple weeks all three had learned which bowl was theirs and how to open it.

Did you use the training mode?

I absolutely had to use the training mode, and it worked wonderfully. The cats got used to the motion and slight sound the bowl makes without too much problem.

Would you recommend the Microchip Pet Feeder to other pet-owning people?

I would definitely recommend the Microchip Pet Feeder to other pet owners, especially if one or more of their pets has special dietary needs or is an aggressive eater.
