Overweight cat can no longer steal food
Why did you purchase a SureFeed Microchip Pet Feeder?
Artemis was pronounced overweight at a veterinary check-up in 2016. The vet recommended that he lose at least a pound, but that was not going to happen at the rate with which he was stealing food from Mabel. Both cats already had microchips at the time, so we ordered one feeder to give it a try. After a few months of having the first feeder, we found that Mabel was stealing food from Artemis when his timed feeder would dispense food. Artemis would then beg for food because he was not getting enough. Now both cats have their own feeder out of which they get enough, but not too much food. There have not been any bouts of our cats stealing each other's food since we got the second feeder.
How well did your pets take to the Microchip Pet Feeder?
Both cats learned how to use the feeder super quickly. Mabel figured it out in a matter of hours. Artemis figured it out within a day or so. He did not seem to like putting his head in the reader at first, but he adjusted.
Does the Microchip Pet Feeder keep your pets’ food fresher?
Yes, the feeder seems to keep the food fresher, especially the wet canned cat food.
Has the Microchip Pet Feeder helped you reduce the amount of pet food you waste and thus saved you money on pet food?
Yes, I think so.
Did you use the training mode?
No, it was not necessary.
Would you recommend the Microchip Pet Feeder to other pet-owning people?
I would ABSOLUTELY recommend the Microchip Pet Feeder to other pet-owning people.
Is there any other feedback you would like to share with us?
The feeder is really easy to clean. It has also really helped keep our cats happy and healthy. We love the feeder. I even introduced my vet to the feeder. She had never heard of it. I had consulted her previously about how to resolve the cats' food issues to no avail. She was grateful for the share.
