Microchip Cat Door Connect curfew mode makes life easier
With a young baby, Emma found it hard to remember to manually lock her old cat door at night prior to getting the SureFlap Microchip Cat Door Connect. Once the curfew mode has been set, the cat door automatically locks and unlock at the same time each day.
The Microchip Cat Door Connect links to the Sure Petcare app using a Hub. Within the app, Emma can see when her cats go in or out of the house, even when she’s not at home. In the morning, she likes being able to see when the cats came in the previous night after the curfew mode activated. During the curfew time, the cats can still come in through the cat door, but then they can’t leave the house again until the cat door automatically unlocks in the morning.
Emma feels like she has an extra connection with her cats during the day and she likes being able to check up on them. Using the app, she can see whether they are in or out of the house and when they last entered or exited the cat door. An activity graph allows her to view her cats’ activity over time.
Over the last few months, Emma’s time has been taken up with caring for her new baby. The Microchip Cat Door Connect makes her feel like she’s giving more time to her cats. Emma thinks the cat door will be even more beneficial when she and her partner are both back at work as they’ll be able to check up on the cats whilst they’re out of the house.
Last year one of the cats got badly injured and she and her partner were searching everywhere for him. In the end he was hiding in the covered litter box. If they had had the cat door then, they would have been able to focus their search to inside or outside and probably found him and got him the help he needed quicker.
We asked Emma if she would recommend the product to a friend. She said: “Absolutely! I have done already. I really love it.”
