Monitoring your cat’s behaviour using Sure Petcare connected products

Cats are solitary creatures and may spend a lot of time separated from their owners, either through choice or because their owners are out for much of the day. This can make it difficult for owners to keep on top of their cat’s behaviour. Sure Petcare connected products help owners to fill in the gaps.

Sure Petcare app

The SureFlap Microchip Cat Door Connect, the SureFlap Microchip Pet Door Connect and the SureFeed Microchip Pet Feeder Connect all link to the Sure Petcare app via a Hub. Up to ten Sure Petcare devices can be connected to one Hub. This gives cat owners visibility of their cat’s activity in and out of the house and their feeding behaviour all in one place.

Changes in behaviour

Sure Petcare connected products record your cat’s behaviour using graphs stored in the Sure Petcare app. This means that you can view historical data to help you notice any changes in their patterns of activity, which could be an indication of illness or distress. For example, if a cat starts eating less food than usual, they could have an illness that is affecting their appetite, or if they aren’t going outside as often as they usually do, there might be an outside stressor that is disturbing them. Being able to highlight these changes gives cat owners the opportunity to take action as soon as possible.

The Microchip Cat Door Connect and the Microchip Pet Door Connect record when a cat enters or leaves the house through the door, while the Microchip Pet Feeder Connect makes a record each time a cat eats from the feeders. Cat owners also receive a notification whenever their pet uses a connected product.

Comparing activity with feeding

Being able to monitor a cat’s comings and goings as well as their feeding behaviour can give cat owners a deeper understanding of their pet’s wellbeing. If there are changes to both types of behaviour, this can help to pinpoint what might be causing these changes.
