Keep track of your cat’s comings and goings

Have you ever wondered what your cat gets up to all day while you’re at work? Do you wonder how long they stay outside or inside, and how many times a day they leave the house? Do you want to be able to keep your cat in at specified times, even when you’re not at home?

The SureFlap Microchip Cat Flap Connect or the SureFlap Microchip Pet Door Connect can do all this for you! It’s Sure Petcare’s first internet connected product and it can give you a fascinating insight into your cat’s movements, as well as giving you remote access to the door.

In or out?

SureFlap connected doors have an app that enables you to keep track of when your cat is inside or outside of the house. You can receive notifications on your phone telling you when your cat has left or entered the house, giving you peace of mind when you are at work or even on holiday. It’s also great if you have an elusive cat who likes to hide in the house and you want to be sure if he’s come inside.

Remote locking

SureFlap connected doors have a curfew mode, and using the app, it can be locked remotely; a great feature if you want to lock the door when you are away from home. You might be at work when the weather turns stormy. You’ll be able to lock the door remotely so that the next time your cat comes inside, he won’t be able to get out again.

It’s also a great feature for vet visits. You might have left the house and managed to get a last-minute appointment. You can lock the door remotely to keep your cat inside until you get home and it’s time to take him to his appointment.

Monitor your cat’s movements over time

Using the Sure Petcare app, you can look at historical data and find out how often your cat goes outside each day. This can help you track any changes in your cat’s behaviour. If your cat suddenly starts staying inside more often than usual, it may be because there is a new cat in the neighbourhood. Or your cat might suddenly have started going in and out lots of times throughout the day, which could be an indication that he is urinating more regularly and that you should look out for signs of illness.

Let others monitor your cat

You’re not the only one who can keep an eye on your cat’s comings and goings; you can give other people access to the app too! Your partner, cat sitter or anyone else you choose can see what your cat is up to as well.
